This is the story of Winner Ozekhome, an employee since March 2020 and a source of pride for negg® Group.

Escaped from Nigeria in 2016 at the age of just 17, the youngest of five siblings, Winner embarked on a journey or, rather, a nightmare lasting six months on a boat that carried him across the Mediterranean to our shores, where he finally arrived in Reggio Calabria.

Here, after facing many dangers, which he overcame thanks to his unstoppable strength of character, he found freedom and the opportunity to rebuild his life, far from the fear he had experienced and the dangerous situation in his homeland.

His experience in Italy began with an introduction to the Italian language thanks to the first reception center in the city of Reggio Calabria.From there he started attending evening courses, which led to his high school diploma and enrollment in the Faculty of Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Reggio Calabria.

His passion for computer science, which had existed even before leaving his home country, grew as he continued his studies. After demonstrating his skills and interest in the field, Winner received a job offer from negg® Group.

His career at negg® Group, not only became a greater motivation for his university studies, but it also proved for Winner to be a unique opportunity for both personal and professional growth. It provided him with a family-like environment, made up of friends and mentors, rather than just colleagues.

Starting as an intern and later being offered a full-time position, Winner's experience helped him realize his potential. His passion for the IT field continued to grow, and as his knowledge expanded, he decided to take on new roles and responsibilities within the company.

Today, Winner has just completed his Bachelor's degree with top marks, the result of his sacrifices, constant effort, and the strength of character that define him. This achievement is also shared with his colleagues at negg® Group and CEO Francesco Taccone, who have played an important and decisive role in his journey, providing him with the necessary skills to grow and offering full support to meet his academic needs.
